Installing a new appliance

When replacing an old appliance with a new one it is important to ensure that the new appliance will be suitable for replacement.

Things to consider

• Will the new appliance fit in the same location as the old appliance?
• For free standing stoves ensure you take a measurement (Height/Width/Depth) of the space with you when shopping for a new stove and keep in mind any shelves above the stove that may be in the way if the appliance isn't the same height.
• For cooktops and wall ovens its important to think about the space available and ensure any new appliance will fit
• Is the power rating the same or similar to the existing appliance, if the new appliance requires more power then new cabling may need to be provided with the installation.
• Elect Solar does not recommend attempting to remove any appliance that is hard wired, we can arrange to disconnect this for you.
